On Monday, the players of FC Barcelona received the first copies of 'Barça. The best year of our life', a book that brings together the decisive moments of an unforgettable 2009. The book is on sale now and all proceeds will go to the Foundation.
'Barça. The best year of our life'' is a collection of magic moments from the best year in the Club’s history, featuring unpublished photos of the Barça players. Players, coaches and others have ceded the profits and image rights to the XICS centres (International Network of Charitable Centres) which the FC Barcelona Foundation has set up around the world. They provide schooling, health care, psychosocial support and access to sport and leisure for underprivileged children.

An idea of the players

The idea for the book came from the players themselves. During the decisive months of April and May 2009, the photographer Miguel Ruiz was entrusted with the task of recording the day to day work and excitement of an unforgettable season.

From Valencia to Rome via Madrid

That personal commitment has given birth to a wonderful book that brings back the memories of magical nights in Rome (the Champions League), Valencia (the Spanish Cup), Madrid (the 2-6 defeat of Real in the Bernabéu), Stamford Bridge and the treble celebration. Photos from inside the changing rooms, with never-seen-before photos of Guardiola’s treble-winning heroes.

'Barça. The best year of our life' is published by Angle Editorial. The players and coaches of the football first team offer the fans this personal album with the very best images of a dream year.
